LG Electronics 47LN5400 47-Inch LED LCD Reviews :
Great picture
I got a great deal on the price of this TV, and I am pleasantly surprised at the great picture it has. I knew going in that the HDMI and other connections were lacking on this unit, but with a few changes in the way I connected my components, I was able to overcome what I was use to. The user manual is lacking some of the specific technical detail that I would like to see, but I guess for a novice it is OK. All in all it’s a good tv and I would recommend it.
– No Smart TV features
– Limited USB functions
– Cannot deselect 120hz
– No VGA port
– Glossy screen
That being said, I have not found the 120hz to be detrimental when watching TV broadcasts in 480i, 480p, 720p, and 1080i. When I use the Blu-Ray player through HDMI (including Netflix, hulu, videos from the hard drive, et al.), I leave it set at 1080p/24fps and everything looks perfect.
My previous unit was a Polaroid 32″ LCD, so this is a big improvement, and the best TV I have owned thus far.
I watch Blue Ray on this and play PS3 games as well. The quality through the PS3 with the HDMI is superior. Even Netflix played through the PS3 has a great screen resolution. The only thing that could be better is the cable picture, but that is on myself because I do not had HD in my house.
Great TV, Great Price, got the 24 months 0% interest so like $25 a month with no interest, who could pass that up?
