What can I say, It’s a Panasonic
I had been looking at all the different models on the market and I kept being drawn to the Sony and Panasonic It’s just a great time to buy an HD TV. Over many years I have tried quite a few different makes and models and haven’t had a problem with any of them. Now for the TV at hand. Several friends have commented that they didn’t care for it because tthe detail in all of the pictures was too clear. (joking of course) When viewing a true 1080 picture the set is very impressive. You have all the control of the sets functions you could ever want. I also purchased the matching Blu-ray player and they make a winning combination

Gotta say I was a little concerned having read reviews about this product and damaged and unprotected factory boxes… it was delivered in mint condition, in a giant box-within-a-box, padded on all sides. Thanks Amazon! Great TV, outstanding picture, easy to set up.
Great tv BUT the box is as cheap as they come
I had to order it myself to see how bad it was, my tv was completely trashed, however it worked but I will not keep it, I will try exchanging it for another one, if that doesnt work I will order another brand. This is a great quality TV but Panasonic was super cheap on the box. There is 0 protection. Good luck when ordering it.
Excellent value for great TV – poor packaging
I purchased this set when it dropped in price (the camelcamelcamel website alerted me) and the picture quality is outstanding. Before purchasing I saw the set in person at BestBuy compared to several others in the same price range, and several substantially higher in price. For the most part it displays true to life colors and contrast, and for some shows/movies it’s a little off. This can be easily fixed with a little tweaking in the picture settings. I highly recommend disabling the “soap opera” setting if you are also bothered by the added frames (menu>picture>advanced picture settings>motion picture effect>off). The features are intuitive to change inputs, use media mode for USB attachments, and it streams from NetFlix and Amazon Video flawlessly with HD quality.
There is a discrepancy with the refresh rate. 120Hz is the generally recognized value for the set, but other websites list the refresh at 60Hz. Having seen the TV side by side with both 120 and 240Hz sets, I can confidently say that this is clearer (no blur in fast-action scenes) than other 120Hz, and almost as nice as some of the 240Hz sets. Really an excellent value for the money!
My only complaint was the packaging. It was shipped in the commercial box from Panasonic and arrived looking like it had fallen off the truck. Both sides were crushed, ripped, and there were holes torn into side where the screen rests. The molded styrofoam had been crushed into pieces, so the TV was free to move around in the box. Luckily, the only damage it incurred was a quarter-sized dent in the back of the set that doesn’t seem to present any issues with picture quality. After contacting Amazon, the issue was resolved through their always outstanding customer service.
Would definitely buy again!
