Solid performance and thin, clean design

We wanted a small-ish bedroom TV that performs well and is reasonably thin.

We looked at the current (2012) Samsung models, which review well but are nearly four inches thick, and Panasonic’s, which are thin but get mediocre feedback. After some sleuthing (thanks, Value Electronics) I got ahold of Samsung’s 2013 model numbers. I was attracted to this unit, dismissing the higher-end models due to their weird-looking stands and 3D and “Smart TV” features we won’t use. I plugged this model into an Amazon search and was surprised to find it buried in the results. I was even more surprised to find it in stock.

This model has a thin, clean design. The picture and sound are impressive. I’d probably lean towards a larger Panasonic or Samsung plasma for a main viewing area, but it’s a great secondary TV. 

 

Quality and superior product

Clear pict urge, great color and contrast. Uses. Low amount of energy. Samsung was the first to make LED TV and they continue to rule he market in quality and innovation. If you have a Samsung phone or tablet you cn even use them as a remote or watch TV on them using the link to the TV. Great product 

For under $200 what’s not to like?

Samsung is the leader in LED TVs. I already owned a 32-inch Samsung LED TV, which is two years old. It has worked great, so I thought I’d try this small 22-inch Samsung LED TV in the bedroom. The display is excellent and the unit is extremely light. Let’s hope this one lives up to Samsung’s reputation for quality LED TVs. 

 

Beautiful color

I got the 22 for my kitchen, and it is perfect. Beautiful color, matte finish so reflections aren’t bad. I have 4 Samsung TV’s, and this year’s F series is easier to calibrate than past years. I use the standard mode and love the rich, sharp picture, was very quck and easy to get dialed in. Consumer reports settings work great for the movie mode, they give the picture on this set their highest rating. I also like the toggle switch on the back, very easy to access and use. 

Great bedroom TV, console and laptop monitor..

Excellent HD picture quality. I used it in my bedroom. I also use it with my laptop and PS3/Xbox 360. Very little difference from an actual HD monitor. The 2 HDMI port make it easy to switch from STB cable to laptop/console display via remote. For the price you can’t beat it. Samsung makes high quality HDTV’s period! I highly recommend this. 

 

Great size for a kitchen TV

I needed to update from an older model 19 inch TV for my kitchen. I started looking at newer 19 inch TV’s, and realized my older TV had a larger frame around the screen. So I thought I could easily buy a larger screen with less frame. That is exactly what this Samsung has, a very small frame, it’s all screen. My older TV also could not get HD, so the picture was smaller than the screen size. This HD Samsung has a great clear picture. I needed to adjust the sound, the factory setting sounded tinny, but with a few adjustments the sound is good. (I think I am spoiled by surround sound on the family room TV) I also have not watched any movies on this Samsung, mostly news and talk shows, so the sound isn’t as important to me.

I read all the reviews on Amazon before I make any purchase, and this TV has not disappointed. If you need a small TV, in my case for the kitchen, at a reasonable price, this TV is a good buy. My son, who does my hook-ups, was impressed with the picture, and the easy set up. I would recommend this Samsung to anyone looking for a great TV at a great price.
