Still Great
The TV is priced better here than at Best Buy.
We’ve had this TV for several months. We were happy with the original purchase and are still just as happy. The picture is amazing and the size is ideal for our 18×16 room. I use Roku on it along with Xbox and a blu ray player. All of them work seamlessly. This television gets almost constant use and we have no complaints. Setting this up was very simple and using it and its features is just as simple.
Great Television
Breaking Bad is a lot better when watching it on this TV. It shows clearly with the factory settings. I mulled this purchase for months before deciding to go with it. I use it in conjunction with Apple TV and it is GREAT. I don’t have cable, so I’m not sure how shows with HD channels.

Just got the Tv set up so this is more or less first impressions review. Very nice looking set with fantastic picture quality without the 3d and smart tv stuff I did not want in the first place.

Amazing tv great picture ok sound not bad mount it in my room. When you get the tv the picture is on standard change it to dynamic for the full quality I dnt recommend to hav set on dynamic if you use it alot lik I do. And change the sound to movie. Would buy again
46″ Samsung LCD with amazing picture quality
When I first got this TV, the first thing I did was hook it up to my PC to check out what some of my favorite games looked like on it. At 1080p, the image quality with maxed settings was breathtaking! I was so very happy with the quality of picture that I started looking into other ways to really flesh out my purchase. Thus began the assembly of my home theater system…
After purchasing speakers, a receiver, and a blu ray player, I found out what I was missing out on. Blu Rays on this TV are just astounding quality! With the whole setup, it is quite the experience. Netflix HD is a must have to enjoy this TV daily unless you want to pay quite a bit for Comcast HD. I find that standard def comcast does of course look rather bad on it, but it will look bad on any HD because it is Standard Definition Signal.
The inputs are lacking, this is very true. That is why I went ahead and bought a receiver so that it could handle all of my inputs and adjust them as needed instead of relying on the limits of the TVs settings. When paired with a receiver, this TV as a display is just about perfect to my eyes. It came with no visual defects nor scuffs. It now rests firmly on my wall where it has been mounted for almost a year. If you do plan to mount it, do all the measuring and drilling first and then get a friend or two to help you hang it as it could be dangerous to attempt alone.
For the price, I would recommend this TV for just about any setup. The larger screen sizes I assume have the same quality panel and would work in a much larger room, but this size would probably be about as big as one would ever want in a bedroom.
Samsung Isn’t Fibbing
I have 6 large screen flat panel TVs at 3 different hovels: I Sony Bravia and 5 Samsungs in this model line. The Sony panel is center lit, which is supposed to be superior to the edge lit Samsungs. Samsung claims they achieve center lit quality through edge lighting coupled with some mystery algorithm. They do. The picture on the Samsung screens, in this series, and whether 60, 55,50, 48, or 42 inches is every bit as good–and marginally better in the 60. Seems Samsung isn’t fibbing. And they cost a bit less.
The last of the great LCD tvs
Every lcd tv now is side lite and its terrible. The uniformity of the image is awful. This tv is back light and has none of those issues. The trade off is no smart options and limited inputs. I wish tvs would go back to the back lite design. I has to return a more expensive model because of all the problems from a side lite tv. This Tv the Eh is amazing for the money and will hold me over for the next 2 – 3 years as I wait for 4K tvs that thankfully are back lite.
Top Notch
I was truly amazed with the picture and quality of this TV. The colors are vibrant with the animated movies and animated TV shows and really have that ‘authentic’ look with TV shows and movies. I have to admit that I had no idea how to set it and was about to spend $249 for a professional to come to do it. However, I found some settings online and they seem to work perfectly.
Pros: Very realistic color. Easy to set up. Price was amazing.
Cons: I honestly can’t think of any to date.
This is my first Samsung. I had another name brand, but it quickly began to get lines on the left side of the screen after the warranty was up, so it was time to get another. I decided to spend a little more and try Samsung. It was a wise choice.
I’ve had this TV for 2 weeks and have enjoyed every minute of it.
