Top of the line 40 inch samsung and the picture shows it

This tv is hands down in my opinion the best you can buy in a 40 inch model for 2013. I bought the un40f6300 for my bedroom and the un40f6400 for my living room. Both are great tv’s however out of curiosity i put them side by side just to compare the difference in picture and the 6400 3d model definately had deeper blacks and a better contrast in colors making for a overall better looking picture.This was done with both tv’s on the same settings and both using the same feed wich is dish network and hd receivers. The 3d on the 6400 is amazing ! 

 

I own a panasonic 55st30 with active 3d and in my opinion the 3d on this samsung looks even better. I compared the 3d quality watching avatar 3d. There is nothing about the new samsung i dont love and i had to give it a 5 star rating. It has the coolest remote i’ve seen also and all the tv feautures work terrific. I can even use my wireless keyboard to navigate the web rather then the remote if i want and it works great. Seriously if you are interested in this television but not sure if its the one, i can assure you i am very particular and i looked at every 40 inch led there is and this one had the best picture of any 40 inch led on the market today. Hope i was of help for those that are trying to make a decision..

Buying a TV, at least for us guys, is an emotional decision that starts with logic. What’s the refresh rate, do I want 50 or 55 inch, 120 or 240 hz, and so on. The next step we often look to is Customer Reviews. We try to find someone that seems to have more expertise or “logic” than we do and go from there. Well I did all of the above and then decided, “Hey, it’s a Samsung!” Gotta be good, right? So much for logic.

So here’s the bottom line. Once I discovered the nuances of my Samsung, dialed in the settings I wanted (don’t ask, total trial and error) I could not be happier. The picture clarity is outstanding but does adjust according to the source. For instance my setting for watching a Bluray. The TV remebers that setting and then switches when I go back to TV. Pretty cool! I’ve found my best picture seems to come from Hulu but it could just be me. Oh, I watched football this weekend, over the air HD quality and I cannot believe the picture.

Now about the 3D. It has it. Nothing exceptional there. If anyone has some ideas on what to watch or your better experience I would love to hear from you.

My setup currently uses no home theater (want to contribute?). I use the latest ROKU, a Panasonic BluRay player and over the air TV. I subscribe to Netflix and HuluPlus and we have an Amazon Prime account.
We recently went to NYC and the picturres from my iPhone 5 were very good on the computer. The I looked at them on the Samsung and WOW!

So far my experience with Samsung has been exceptional, would do it again in a heartbeat. I also purchased the Square Trade extended warranty, 4 years I believe. Just a little extra insurance and they get great reviews.

Best features for your money including micro dimming and 3D

Perfect addition to your living room for anyone that wants a great value and every feature you need for HD and 3D viewing. The micro dimming feature and 480 CMR rating (which I didn’t see in the description online) gives you the absolute best picture quality you can have in a great HD slim line model. I’ve read the reviews that mostly indicate that the 3D features aren’t all that useful, but viewing any recent Blu-ray HD DVD with 3D truly puts you “in the movie” with this TV set. There’s nothing wrong with 3D features, it’s like comparing apples to oranges: those movies and documentaries that have been made in the past few years have far superior 3D technology than those made prior to about 2010. You’re not just seeing things “pop out” of the screen, it’s a total immersion experience with recent releases in 3D! I can’t recommend this particular model any higher, it’s simply one of the best of the current models by any manufacturer.
