Awesome Sony TV.

I have always purchased Sony tvs and have always been satisfied. For some reason, I saw a Samsung 40″ at Sears and decided to order one like it from Amazon. After doing some research and discovering that Samsung was putting cheap Sharp panels (or worse, Chimea panels) on their tvs I found that I could determine whether the tv I received was truly a Samsung tv with a Samsung panel like the one I saw at Sears, or one with the cheaper panel. Sure enough, the Samsung tv I received from Amazon had a cheap Sharp panel, so I returned it to Amazon. I explained to the Amazon rep what the problem was and I wanted a Samsung tv with a Samsung panel, he said he understood and would ship me another tv right away. When I took the tv out of the box, once again it had a Sharp panel, not a Samsung. 

 

I asked for return authorization and sent it back, again explaining to the rep why I was returning it. Next thing I know Amazon said I could not order another. When Samsung was caught installing the cheap panels on its tvs it made national news, but Amazon seemed to be completely in the dark, which is kind of hard to believe since many of the reviews clearly stated that people knew they had received Samsung tvs with the cheaper panels on them from Amazon. After reading several reviews on this Sony tv I decided to order it instead. I am completely satisfied with this tv, the picture is just as good, if not better, than the Samsung, and I am wondering why I ever decided to go with the Samsung to begin with. It dawned on me that if a company like Samsung is willing to cheat its customers then I do not want to be buying their products because I no longer know what I am getting. I highly recommend this Sony 40″ tv! 

 

Very well put together

It is very easy to put together out the box, incredibly lighter than my previous 37′, and the clarity is superb after you tinker with it. Im planning on getting my first sound bar as well to add to the speakers even though I dont really need it. I have my PS3 slim attached with the tv and have watched Inception on it in complete awe 🙂 It doesnt swivel but it really doesnt need to the brightness is also a plus because everybody knows when im watching tv in my neighborhood lol. The motionflow is really noticeable on blu rays as well and on certain games like Hitman :Absolution and Black Ops 2. I give this a 5 star all the way and its definitely a tv I will keep for minimum 7 years. I havent even cranked the sound up past 30 yet because its just so loud by that point already. If you want another Sony product that doesnt break or give you problems this is the tv guys 

Excellent, plain TV
This 2013 state-of-the-art, backlit television is a no frill 40 inch television. If you want a TV with a USB and two HDMI inputs at a fair discounted price, this is it. At this time it is the only 40″, 2013 SONY model made. The picture quality is excellent. You would not know that it is a 60 hz set. The enhancement works and no motion problem in speedy action is noticeable. This is not a “smart” TV but who needs it? Buy an outboard unit to bring in WiFi programs if you desire. It is still cheaper and better to do so. It is very light and easy to wall-mount. I have had it for over two months, used it daily and am pleased with the daylight and nightlight viewing.

Very pleased with this TV
Set-up could not be easier (especially compared to another brand TV bought earlier this year) and connecting it took an old somewhat electronically challenged lady (me) about a minute to have a great picture. For the money I think it would be difficult to beat the quality of this TV and the sound is much easier for me to understand than many other TVs of varying prices.
