Beautiful screen
I might be a bit biased coming from a 1600×900 laptop screen, but honestly the view on this thing is beautiful.
The contrasts are sharp, the colors are good, and everything just looks amazing. All at $140, this was a bargain of epic proportions. The lack of HDMI is slightly annoying, but I bought a DVI -> HDMI converter cable from Amazon themselves and it apparently works fantastically. If you’re really worried about HDMI, go for that. If not, just use the included DVI cables.
Good quality
Working nicely. I already a ViewSonic monitor like this for another computer, so when it went on Gold Box I decided to get another. Same quality as the other one. Nice colors and clear resolution. Can’t ask for much more than that.
It Fits The Bill
This monitor has a very good picture, very bright and vivid. I can not attest to any high speed graphics or videos as I only use my computer for web surfing and security monitoring, but it works very well. I replaced a 7 year old Samsung 19″ and this 22″ actually weighs less, if that even matters.
Excellent right out of the box
The set up paperwork was very vague, but easy to figure out. It took more time to unpack it then it did to set it up. I would recommend attaching the cables to the monitor 1st as I did, due to the fact they are at the bottom of the monitor it would be difficult to plug in and set up after the monitor was in place.
After I turned the monitor on it came up with the correct resolution. I then put the set up disc in and set the drivers up for my OS, and it was ok. The screen was a bit too bright for me so I did lower the brightness, but everything else was fine. Great monitor. My last View Sonic was a CRT 19″ and it lasted 14 years. The new one is like a feather weight compared to the old one.

These monitors were a great price and are perfect for our purpose in the office. We are a small company with a limited budget and were happy to get affordable, quality monitors.
Great monitor 
I use this monitor for video editing in Premier Pro and also music creation / mixing in Cubase 7. It’s large enough to use these programs without the inconvenience of constantly moving windows around and re-sizing. I also stream movies that are viewed with this monitor. Works great, looks great, and it’s a good value.
LED backlight is great
The LED back-light is everything it is advertised to be. Much brighter than the fluorescent back-light I’ve had in the past. I had to adjust the brightness to about 50% to reduce the glare. This monitor is only 2″ larger than my previous monitor so I hardly notice the size difference. Across a 36″ desk it is perfect. A far cry from the 17″ I used temporarily. I’m not a video expert so I can’t critique the display in technical terms, but to me the picture is extremely good – more than clear enough for surfing the web and watching video clips. To me it looks evenly lit with correct coloring and very, very little lack of sharpness.
I can safely recommend this monitor for the vast majority of users. You won’t be disappointed
Nice bright monitor! Great colors!
I purchased two of these monitors. One for my office and the other for my recording studio. The detail on these screens are fantastic! My digital audio workstation has never looked so nice! Very sharp in detail and color. A great monitor for the price, especially here at amazon.com, since I shopped around and found it as high as $199 at other places. Pictures look great and high definition movies are fantastic.
