Worth it
You can’t go wrong with this monitor. I had it for about a week now and I don’t regret buying it. I used to have an Asus 23 – inch IPS display, but that was to small for viewing movies. This 27-inch monitor does a better job and movies looks way better.

Love it. Looks fantabulous. The button placement doesn’t bother me, as I have it situated at eye level, so the buttons are easy enough to get to. I’ve had it for about 3 weeks now and the quality still blows me away sometimes. No glare, no picture fading, and it was in perfect condition with no dead pixels when delivered. Excellent and inexpensive.

This is the nicest monitor, clear & sharp. I work graphics and photos all day, every day. I produce reports that take hours to develop, heavy with images and text. I have gone through my share of monitors, and this is the nicest one I’ve used. It’s much easier on the eyes than others. The black text is crisp with no ‘blue ghosting’ around the letters. I am also careful about EMF and ELF. I have a professional tester that is very sensitive and accurate. This monitor’s transformer is located in the power cord, so the monitor itself puts out zero EMF/ELF, which gives me quite a sense of security for my health.
The screen is big enough that I can pull up 3 pages at once at 100% size, or I can enlarge a page to 250% and it still remains sharp and clear. I do recommend opening the color controls and sliding all the sliders to far left, which gives bright whites and black blacks with no color shift. That’s my personal preference. The speaker system is not so great, but if you have external speakers, just stay with those. It has great connectivity, any cable you have will work just fine: (vga, vgi, hdmi). And, I don’t have to strain my eyes, even when the sun shines in from behind, I can still work just fine. For the cost, you can’t go wrong.

I bought this monitor as a companion to my 13″ 2011 Macbook pro. I’m a Concept artist and illustrator and the big thing I was looking for when buying this monitor was the ability to calibrate the colors to that of my macbook. Out of the box, the colors of this screen were pretty ok, but not what I was looking for. The color profiles on the monitor are good, but again, not the same as my mac.This was easily fixed by bringing up the color calibrate display on my macbook which brought up a separate one for my monitor as well.
I was able to sync my colors to my macbook through this and I’m a very happy customer now!
The “Frameless” design of this is very nice, super attractive. The monitors buttons are in an inconvenient place, but if you’re like me and aren’t going to be fiddling with them a whole lot after set up, it really doesn’t matter. I had no issues with dead pixels or light seeping through the corner as some other people have had.
My one gripe is that is was shipped in it’s display box. This is really unsafe and would have much preferred if it was shipped in a plain brown box over the Display box.
But other then that, I’m a pretty happy customer! For those buying this for your macbook, don’t forget to also get a Mini Display port to HDMI.

Perfect (from a designer/programmer)
I have been a programmer and web designer for over 15 years, and I’ve gone through a lot of different monitors. This is bright, with a lot of color depth and contrast. The only downside is that the stand is short, so you will need some books or a stand to elevate it to head height, but that happens with nearly all monitors.. This was my first ViewSonic, and I am very impressed. My next monitor will be another ViewSonic.
AND!!! It’s American Made. Buy it. You won’t be disappointed.
Great Monitor, but ok speakers
This Monitor is fantastic, it is crystal clear. Really big at 27 inches, perfect for PC Gaming and watching movies or videos. The speakers due suck a little. Too small for crystal clear sound. I recommend getting external speakers.
